Let me start off by talking about criticisms I hear about this thing.

I hear a lot of people saying that the songs sound the same throughout the whole thing, I completely disagree with this statement, each song yes, has similar vibes, I feel they are just pulling that from the heavy bass and Les Claypool's vocals which are so out there that they overpower each song. When I listened to this thing at the beginning I felt the same way, but the more closely I focused on other parts I plainly saw ... read more

Suburb flows backed up by incredible beats that go hard. The lyrics are so thought-provoking and tie very nicely with each song. This album is definitely one that defines the genre.

This is filled with brilliant renditions of existing Talking Head songs that are beautifully well done. The live performances are supurb and so fun to watch. David Byrne and the rest of Talking Heads will go down as one of the most unique and creative bands to date. Such a wonderful live album filled with emotion and flavor that I just can't stop listening to it years after I've known about it.

There a few notable tracks on this that are really cool like Apt. A (2). But some tracks are so dead and boring as hell. Sometimes the beats can be pretty unique and cool but other than that I find myself just not really paying attention. Like some parts of this are just random sounds that yeah sound cool for the first 5 seconds but then it just gets really old really fast.

Still though, a really interesting album with new ideas brought to the table, this just isn't something I see myself ... read more

Some tracks on this are pretty dead instrumentally but the rapping is consistently great. Great themes and a pretty damn good album overall.

I have a thing for upbeat jazz that is so boppy and groovy ... this fulfills that and goes beyond in so many ways. People usually get turned away from albums that are labeled soundtrack since they associate them with mediocre music to fit the background of a film. But this is gold stand alone, in my opinion, so much character and diversity in each song keeping it sounding fresh.

Gosh, you are really put into the setting with these tracks, you can tell almost what's exactly going on with just ... read more

The final song of an album is one of the most important things to it. To make you feel satisfied, an album closer has to look at everything an album has done and say, "Hey, how am I going to make a satisfying ending to this story?" Album closers are incredibly hard to execute and many don't feel how they should. It takes a lot of talent for an artist to wrap up their own piece of work effectively and make a listener feel satisfied.

Which leads me to my question: what is your favorite album closer/finale of all time and why?

Hello friend, I hope you're having a great day! If you have any interest in participating in a list I'm making, here's the prompt:

Aliens have come down from a previously unknown planet, and touch down right in front of your house. You come outside, and they speak English somehow, but they ask you for one thing- to give them a human album. You have an MP3 player, but it only can hold one album of any length. You can give the aliens any album for any reason, but please explain why you chose the album you chose.

Thank you for answering (if you do), and have a great day!

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO I am using a combined list of all the albums that were ever on the list, so it will be more than 1001 when I am done.
