JoJo Siwa - Guilty Pleasure
23

if im being honest, if this wasnt jojo siwa and just some other generic radio pop project this would probably have a slightly higher user score. so putting her cringey persona aside, i still dont enjoy the music but its really not as bad as i thought it would be. Karma is still an absolute dumpster fire of a song though.

FKA twigs - LP1
81

a very interesting take on r&b. the production is lovely and also minimal. it lets her voice really shine through. standout track is definitely two weeks

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
73

this is gonna be a hot take. i might need to revisit it later but the first two songs just didn't do it for me. schizoid starts and ends great but feels like im watching a tom and jerry cartoon in between. and i talk to the wind just drags on for me. those 2 songs alone make up 40% of the album. BUT i did really enjoy the last 3 songs and can respect the fact that this sounds way ahead of its time. i think the final track is fantastic. i wouldnt be surprised if i revist one day and it all ... read more

James Blake - Bad Cameo
77

this was an enjoyable listen. i love seeing the growth that yachty has made. there are some songs where yachty and blake pair extremely well and others not so much. i wasn't amazed but it was better than i was expecting. standout tracks were Woo and Transport Me

deadmau5 - Random Album Title
67

i have to commend the fact that all of the sounds feel like they were meticulously put together to be as crisp and clean as possible, while also transitioning seamlessly into the next track. with that being said, you definitely have to exercise some patience with this one. its very easy to zone out while hearing a kick drum repeatedly. i feel like he could've taken some bigger chances on this one. i remember is the saving grace to this project. the repetitiveness of this gives me an ... read more

The Cure - Disintegration
95

tender, dreamy, beautiful synths. they really let a lot of these tracks breathe with long instrumentals before and after the lyrics have concluded. it helps you get lost in this dark dreamy soundscape. reaaaally enjoyed this

Death Grips - Bottomless Pit
86

death grips have one of the most unique styles i've ever heard. this is chaotic but they are still able to make it work. its so gritty in both the vocals and production. you definitely have to be in a certain mood for listening to this but its a fun listen nonetheless.

Air - Moon Safari
72

great to throw on if you're looking to get some work done. some songs tend to drag on a bit. it wasn't anything too special for me but it is still a pleasant listen.

Pulp - Different Class
89

this wouldve gotten into the 90's if it wasnt for how much i dislike pencil skirt lmao. aside from that, this album is awesome.

Neil Young - Harvest Moon
84

title track is incredible. overall very solid work. i did find myself zoning out a bit toward the end but there really isn't a bad song on here. definitely at the top of my list to throw on around a campfire.

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
90

super raw, super good. wasnt bored for a second listening to this. was also today years old when i learned hurt was actually a nine inch nails song.

Sleep Token - Take Me Back to Eden
33

this project struggles to find its footing. it never really leans into a certain direction and i can feel that uncertainty upon listening. just feels fake deep.

ODESZA - The Last Goodbye
93

(biased review incoming) when you see them live and this version of you starts up, its instant chills. i have listened to this album more times than i can count. it is most definitely experienced better live, so when i'm listening to these songs i'm sent back to their live shows and experience total euphoria. its just so hard to put into words. a moment apart remains my favorite of theirs but this project is a lovely addition to their catalog.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
100

cant name a flaw here

$uicideboy$ - New World Depression
66

havent listened to suicideboys in quite some time, ive always been a fan of their lofi heavy production. that being said, they really dont sound any different than they did when i was listening to them in 2016-2018. mostly everything here feels too similar to what ive heard from them before. drag em to the river is a nice change of pace. if you were to throw on any individual song from this album i would probably enjoy it, but it gets repetitive when they're all packaged together. i think the ... read more

The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land
79

movie piracy core. very unique and doesn't have a dull moment. im off to steal my neighbors car now

Joey Valence & Brae - NO HANDS
80

man i am conflicted with this one. the production is fuckin stellar, but it really does feel like they're just copying the beastie boys and borrowing elements from other songs ive heard but cant think of the name. theres a large amount of corny lines but thats to be expected in this genre of rap. but god damn it i really had fun listening to this. fuck it, it gets an 8/10

Charli xcx - BRAT
85

i was familiar with charli just from some of her hits in the 2010's so i was thinking, how good could this really be? this shit bangs man. real solid production, and it flows together real well without sounding like every song is the same. pleasantly surprised on this one.

The Flaming Lips - At War With the Mystics
84

definitely a good entry into their catalog, i really enjoyed the new sounds they were playing with. not quite as good as soft bulletin or yoshimi but still very solid imo. although, the bohemian rhapsody cover was a very strange choice to include lol
