One of *my* albums, in fact my only album at the time of writing, is carried by its enthusiasm and attempts for inventiveness but weighed down by its terrible production and performance. While Meghan has previously made grating music, this song is ultimately catchy enough for me to enjoy listening to it. The "this unspecified man is annoying" trend throughout her music is tiring, but the song has a good swing (from the genre) and the production snaps well for the track. She is not mother, but she is a talented songwriter that made a catchy half-guilty pleasure. 2 Chainz!
This beat (prod. Mike WiLL Made-It) is the most inspired beat I have ever heard in my life. Beyoncé's rapping is delightful and hilarious (Red Lobster? Nostrils, anyone?), and the music video makes for a culturally significant, uplifting, and *HARD AS HELL* piece of art. "Sometimes I go off (I go off)/I go hard (I go hard)" 100%, and this song gets a 100%
With *multiple* insanely intricate and exciting beats, Nicki and Queen Bey team up to bring a song full of excitement and quotables that just get one hyped up! They both rap well and sound great doing it, and this is what goes down when a billion dollars is on an elevator. 2 Chainz!
Surpassing the both the disappointing 'Snake Eyes EP' and 'Hollywood Baby' and 'mememe' singles (both of which I found whiny and poorly crafted), this album excels with the energy that brought them fame and adoration!
