Bob Dylan - John Wesley Harding
90

This was my first Bob Dylan album I listened to, and its just a nice and laid back album. The guitars sounds warm and puts a smile on my face even from the opening chords. However the only part of album I dislike is the way the harmonica is mixed i think its just too loud in the mix and hurts my ears slightly although its only a minor gripe to the album and you could say it sounds a little more raw I guess. But this album is brilliant from start to finish no skips.

9 out of 10.

Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane
70

A pretty decent and consistent collection of pop and rock songs. Still shows that 83 year old Paul McCartney has something in him, 55 years after Ram and 52 years since Band on the Run, his two best solo works

Pink Floyd - Meddle

Not 100% because there are better versions of these songs on Live at Pompeii and because of Seamus being incredible mediocre and out of place

The Temptations - My Girl
95

I haven't listened to the B - side but My Girl is such a lovely wholesome song kind kinda reminds me of my own girl.

The Rolling Stones - The Rolling Stones No. 2

its either the song is really good or really boring

The Velvet Underground - VU

Great selection of unreleased songs that are sequenced well.

Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets

I really like the psychedelic space rock vibe of this album but at the same time its a bit of a mess like most transitional albums this was around the time Syd Barrett left the band and David Gilmour joined.

The album starts with Roger Waters baseline on Let There Be More Light that is a very energising way to kick of this album. Remember A Day is a pretty good song. Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun is quite a hypnotising song with its melody.

The Beach Boys - Surfin' U.S.A.
60

An upgrade from their first album its decent but nearly half of the album is just instrumentals and a few covers. These hampers the album down, as a surf rock album its pretty good as a Beach Boys album its not that good but still a good listen and no real skips on it.
Favourite songs: Surfin U.S.A, Lonely Sea and Noble Surfer (really like the instrumental bridge that is in there)
Least Favourite Song: Honky Tonk (really boring)

The Beach Boys - All Summer Long
75

Their best album up to this point there is less filler and the filler that is there is actually not to bad. But they do continue having a fake studio session track on here that is the only song really skipping I guess. This is the first Beach Boys album that is worth owning as a fan.
Favourite songs: I Get Around, All Summer Long and Wendy
Least favourite songs: Our Favourite Recording Session and Little Honda

The Beach Boys - The Beach Boys Today!
95

This was their first album to actually talk about things other than surfing and cars and now starts to talk about love which makes the songs more relatable especially to the brits as their earlier albums did not sell well there as surfing wasn't really a thing in the UK.
Side 1 is filled with the more fun songs. Side 2 is filled with the ballads and the masterpiece Bull Session With "Big Daddy" just kidding this "song" is one of those fake studio sessions that the Beach ... read more

The Beatles - With The Beatles
75

This album is a good listen for hardcore Beatles fans and fans of early 60s pop this album has stand out tracks such as All My Loving and Till There Was You but the reason why its only 75% is because there are some stinkers such as Little Child and the mediocre Not A Second Time still a good listen I would say on par with their first album if not better.
Favourite Tracks: All My Loving ,Hold Me Tight and Money (That's What I Want)
Least Favourite: Little Child

The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat

this album was revolutionary for genres like noise rock and paved the way for basically every punk or alt rock band in someway, this album incorporates spoken word, proto punk and garage rock give this a listen if you like noise rock and punk
Favourite Songs: Sister Ray and Here She Comes Now
Least Favourite: The Gift
