I hate being an Oliver Tree fan. I don't even know if that's what I'd call myself anymore. I'm definitely a fan of his first album. But, like, what has his music become? What has Oliver become? A million remixes of 'Miss You' (and that disgusting phonk one) and now an album that is just trying to encapsulate that feeling. I saw a live show he did on YouTube when right after Miss You finished 70% of people either left the show or stopped singing along and waving their arms.

Disappointing, but still quite great.
With 'Smiling With No Teeth' I was satisfied, but with STRUGGLER I am left wishing I got a lot more out of this.
From the album cover, to a lot of good but not great songs.
Genesis Owusu has an amazing talent of merging genres and making cohesive experiences but this is not as cohesive as I'd like it to be. The narrative is just okay but the music is well enough for me to appreciate it I guess.

Honestly, I Do Mind.
The general consensus is that this is obviously not as good as Rodeo but a close second.
Once again Travis cannot release an album without being extremely bloated with what I consider massive filler. K-POP especially.
If everything was great I wouldn't be too upset but there is plenty of boring and alright songs here.
Starts extremely strong and ends extremely strong so I should really stop complaining.
Also this version of LOST FOREVER is soooo much better and makes me ... read more
