Yung Lean - STARZ

I knew he could do it. I knew he could drop a masterpiece!!!

Edit: I had a good feeling about this project ever since the teaser tracks 'Boylife in EU' and 'Violence' dropped. Both were moody and pretty and forecasted a possible change in pace for Lean. This was continued on the track 'Pikachu' which had some of the best production we've ever had from Lean. Now, I was expecting something good, but not something this good. It feels just consistently great. Tracks like 'Yayo' and 'Dogboy' are full-on cloud-rap bangers and tracks like 'Acid at 7/11' and 'low' are much sad and painful than anything he's released. The star of the track-list has to be 'Put Me in a Spell', an emotional piano-ballad-esque hybrid with soaring synth melodies and some of the most heartbreaking vocals on the project. There is a little bit of filler here and there in the track-list, but it's hard not to really appreciate how much Lean has developed as an artist.
