Country, to say the least, is not a genre I am highly invested in, or even a genre I enjoy listening to, so I was hesitant to try this album, but I'm really glad I did.
This album is a tribute to Earle's late son, J.T who had died of an accidental cocaine overdose months before this album was released and the lyrics and themes reflect that heavily, these themes are very emotional and it is obvious how the tragic incident has effected him in this record.
