Oh, Bleed American you good'ol scruffy friend of mine. I can still remember hearing "The Middle" when I was a kid. It left a huge impression on me in a way not unlike Taylor Swift's "Love Story" did. It made a home in my subconscious and it became the music I wanted to hear and be a part of. Confession time: I love, nay adore "A Sky Full of Stars." It's always been my favourite song on this one, even more so than the traditionally revered "Midnight," which I do love too. But "Stars...." Viva la Vida remains as beautiful and innovative as ever, even after I suspected it would fall off for me after feeling so indifferent to Coldplay's late-career trajectory. Throw in the Prospekt's March songs (or even mix them into the parent record and make a unique experience out of them, that's what I do) and you have a bona fide masterpiece.

The end of "Religion As Leader" is one of the most demented things I've heard all year and I am here for it.
