Lorde - Pure Heroine
Jan 1, 2018

Lorde shows confidence on her debut album by sharing her ability to evolve from someone who went with the crowd at the start of the project to being the one leading the group in the end, stepping out of adolescent hood into adulthood with a plethora of self-assurance. It works, but there are some moments on here that feel borderline minimalistic. Adding lavish and humble instrumentals over Lorde’s fragile vocals creates an awing and poignant album that I find myself going back to more and more.
Best tracks- “Ribs” (best track 1); “Buzzcut Season” (best track 2); “Team;” “A World Alone”
Worst tracks- “Glory and Gore”
