Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.

Foreword: This was a joke....or I was high. Or both.

Last night, I decided to spin this one more time for posterity. After all, it was only fair I gave all of Kenny's library love, right? Well, I realized: I was wrong about this album.

I found myself completely enthralled by this, and that I missed that this record was as much a commentary on America and God as TPAB and GKMC were. His new sound is poppy and trappy, and doesnt radiate the same nuance as TPAB, but thats not the point. The artistic intent shines through this album in a way I've found hard to describe. I'm going to return to this tomorrow.

FAX FUCK THIS POP SHIT

I think the pop/trap sound on this album distracted people from the social comentary wich I think was perhaps not as intriguing as on TPAB but nearly there. I think people underrated this album and for once the critics had a point.
