Rise Against - Nowhere Generation

Rise Against fall under the list of bands that had harrowing journeys back to being in the spotlight. Tim McIlrath shot his best vocals back in 2018 and spent that last year and a half being trained by a professional coach to get himself back on track. That effort shows. There's also a real sense of a return to musicianship here. The instrumentals are creative and the progressions feel like a triumphant score, despite many of the lyrical themes feeling hopeless. The band has shown incredible maturity, providing quality songs over an abundance of songs. Nothing feels out of place on this album and the progressions are very clear. Even better is that by the time the album starts to get stale, it's already over.
