here bcs of Queen rbbaddie and let’s just say this didn’t disappoint.
Future Tripping and Holiday Party are lwk pop soty contenders
I genuinely can’t wait for this new Bebe album, which is weird since I’ve never liked one of her songs until this
thanks to @rbbaddie for the rec!
I’ve seen this song on tiktok before, but the snippet that went viral didn’t really grab my interest. I was ready to dismiss this as another tiktok bait song, but then came that godly BEAT DROPP omg it’s just too good. I know it’s her debut but I already need more of this
I feel this is what gnarly was going for sonically, except done right and unapologetically. “I get so gay off that tequila” is a CRAZY line, and the jersey club switch at the end goes so hard. She was great before, but with these 3 singles she’s really stepping in a tier of her own. I really can’t think of a pop star of her caliber making music like this.
I don’t think we are hearing the same song. Jessie Murph sounds like a sedated, sleep-deprived house cat but the song is not that bad yall. It’s fun, catchy, and the lyrics are clever, which is more than you can say for most of the songs on the US charts.
“eat zuccini, eat zuccini. do you read me? like the emoji?”
…that is NOT good writing
There is something so artistic and entrancing about hearing moaning in an electro house banger that satirizes sexualization and fame. Ugh ADELA you are literally the blueprint.
The production of this song is sharp and gritty, like something taken straight out of Spring Breakers or Euphoria. This is also tied to DeathByDevotion for her best visual, the choreography in the music video is so raw, off putting in a way you can’t look away from. Bonus points for the Xtina cameo. The last few ... read more
in honor of internet girl dropping I decided to give their previous EP a listen, and I was very dissappointed.
MIA is a bona fide banger, but the other songs range from generic (gabriela, gameboy) to hilariously bad (gnarly, mean girls), and cohesiveness is out of the window
I love the KATSEYE girls down though and they’re amazing, but I’m so so glad ADELA didn’t make it because wtf is this. Here’s the kicker though: internet girl is even worse 😭 somebody save them ... read more
Her best single YESSS the tortured ballerina concept is so creative and something only she could pull off. The song feels industrial and daunting very intentionally withdrawn and slow. This all culminates in a NASTY ending, where the songs midtempo sound transitions into a future house banger. I’m not surprised it “flopped”, considering it’s less accessible sound and more limited promotion, but I’m happy to know it’s garnered praise. The visualizer was also ... read more
hybe literally has the korean Justin Timberlake in their hands and they choose to give him wannabe artsy garbage. you are not “indie” you’re under the biggest label in Korea and the most popular member from the successors of BTS
Underrated masterpiece, yall didn’t get the vision and judged it on one listen. The way its score steadily continues increasing makes me happy tho, im sure it’ll eventually get out of the red
I was very “meh” on it when the song dropped and found the Grimes credit to be the most exciting part about it, but it proved to be a real earworm and the biggest grower out of the singles. The step up in quality is obvious and the improved budget is definetely showing, both in the production and visuals. LOVE!
Imagine debuting with this 😮💨😮💨 doesn’t hold a candle to her later songs but it’s nothing short of impressive how focused her vision as an artist is from such an early point in her career
