A pretty grungy and industrial-sounding track that is executed well and makes for a fun listen! ^^ I'm really excited about the EP that this will be on.

Bo Burnham comes back to remind us that he still got it and can still bring an amazing special after 5 years of silence. The best comedy album this year!

Black Midi has now improved immensely and have made a new beast in their discography. Each track is filled with chaos and life, it feels animated! This is one of the best albums of the year so far, these guys are pushing rock to a whole new level. I would talk about this album more but I really recommend going into this album blindly and to just experience the “art” that this amazing album brings.

This is like if Merzbow had a child and that child was a deranged fetus given a laptop. Ok but all seriously, I liked what this was going for and appreciate what genre it was going for but I think the concept failed horribly. This all could have been one giant single track if all the tracks were put together because they all sound the same. I thought "Needles" and "Bent" had the most interesting soundscapes in the entire album because they kinda remind me of Aphex Twin but ... read more

Album Swap with @Pickle

The Residents is a new artist to me and my first impression of them is this...these guys are weird, which makes it even better. Probably the most creative and stunning piece of music I've listened to. With each track being super experimental and pushing the art of music to a whole new length IMO. It is also really impressive to have come out in 1978!? This was so intriguing and interesting to see what would happen next with each minute. Every track changes and morphs ... read more

Underground Bandcamp Releases #6:

A fun synthwave EP that doesn't bring anything new but is still enjoyable to listen to. Each track is pretty good and gets your head bopping to some very bouncy beats and fun synths. Overall, a very enjoyable EP from the synthwave genre.

Underground Bandcamp Releases #5:

An indie folk emo-type album. This was definitely surprising because I thought it would be meh at best but I thoroughly enjoyed this a lot and loved the vibe of this album. It's nothing new but what it does...it does well! I can't get enough of these songs for some reason, the person's voice is just so soothing and sweet to hear. It really gives off the early 2000's emo bands and has some really good melodies. I guess I was just relating a lot to this album as ... read more

The new Flamingooooo album is here and it definitely felt all improv but what still came out was pretty decent. "Grey" being my personal favorite because it sounds so calming and the plucking kinda makes it hypnotizing in a way. "Pink" is just one long organ piano playing for 3 and a half minutes and "Red" is a more experimental droning track with high pitch synths and pads playing throughout its 23-minute run-time. 'Black" sounds like a soft piano track but ... read more

The apparent debut EP from RiskR is here and I gotta say, I really fucking loved this. It is so impressive that this is their first EP and their songs sound this good! I loved the production and love the instrumentals. 'Apocalypse" is a very pretty sounding track with this loud crunched-sounding synth pluck that plays throughout which I apparently seem the only one to like. "I'll Remember You" is this slow ambient trap track that was also very pleasing to hear and the synths were ... read more

An extremely bizarre and experimental piece by this Kengoji. Noisy and loud and even sounding demotic, while also being quite peaceful and somber. I know the creator says it was lazy and a joke on the Bandcamp of this EP but with a track like "Mudhole Thouuughts", it was quite nice and very soothing in a way, definitely my favorite. This EP is just a collage of noise that found or could not have a deeper meaning if it wanted to...but for now it's just noise. I'm gonna go drink some ... read more

Probably the best and most fun deadmau5 album. With tracks like "Ghost N Stuff" & "Strobe," this one is his probably most well-known album since those tracks will go down as EDM classics. "Hi Friend!" is so damn fun and groovy and grew on me a lot. I also actually liked "Bot" which everyone seems to dislike but I still saw it as entertaining to listen to...but I can agree that "Word Problems" is really boring compared to the other tracks. ... read more

An absolute slugfest of experimental rock and punk. This was certainly surprising and so fun to listen to. With each track being so unique and presented so well, it really feels like a crazy show going on and we're the audience. Not to mention the similarity to Black Midi that I got with these guys, with certain choices of instrumentals but they still are unique to be separated too and give their own sound a much more clean and chaotic touch. Honestly, both of them have shown they will be ... read more

So, his major "debut" is actually pretty good, I only remember "I remember" (hehe) because that song was sent from the electronic gods because it's SO FUCKING GOOD. The singer for that track is so perfect. This album is much more danceable too and way more punchy. With atmospheric synths, hard-hitting drum patterns, and catchy melodies, this is the Deadmau5 I like more. This album certainly has some fun house tracks too like "Slip", "Alone With You", and ... read more

So I finally sat through a deadmau5 album. I've technically grown up with his music since like 2012 (Thanks Mom & Dad) and I know he partially know for bangers here and there across albums. Whether you agree or not, he is one of the most important electronic artists to come into the electronic scene in the late 2000s and early 2010s. IMO, he has a very noticeable sound and has become iconic. NOW...this album right here is pretty meh from him. It has some bangers for sure but some other ... read more
