I meannnnn sure???? Hackle and Buckshot didn't really hit it off in this EP, don't really have much to say
Yeah this was THE PEAK of cloud rap that i've heard personally.
Thank you to my friend Divinity (@deathdivinity) for recommending me this album.
(MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF THIS ARTIST BTW)
This album was quite a hot one ngl, and it's very unique in cloud rap fashion imo, smokedope2016's album was a banger when i listened to the first song and i was right, all the songs here was so consistent from front to back and it never got stale, every beat was hella catchy and SD2016's ... read more
The most unique producer?
These beats are just a genre i've heard over and over again but this.... this just caught my ear by suprise, every beat is so different in a way that other producers could not compete with.
Energy is there but it's alot of the same thing over and over again, i'd like to have the vocals not to be in the instruments so i can listen to it better, it's honestly such a great sound coming from Zach and Robby but it needs to be perfected more.
Best : Back pages (Sounds like a song from a rave ngl)
Worst : Missing information (Lyric are just the same over and over again, and i can barely hear it so it sounds like sharp mumbles)
This album was Hella good.
Personally i love Zach hill's drummings in this album really outshines his other works in the past, i kinda see the drums... differently now.
Didn't realize i haven't rated this album lol!!
This album by John Michel and Anthony james is so incredibly produced it sounds like 2000's Kanye just woke up from his sleep and continued with his graduation searies.
BACK with rating Cutlass's EP that i forgot to rate.
This EP is very good as you can tell by my rating lol, also this EP is different from what Cutlass has made, Trans trap with the heavy amount of distortion and bit crush, i fell in love with the Monochrome Lung with it's versitile production varying over Digi-core, Trap, Jumpstyle, and Metal / (Shoegaze i guess?)
But this EP was just her experimenting with sounds and what she has never done before, it's very exciting to hear ... read more
Catchy flows tbh, i really love the old era of rap when it's all just about how good you can rhyme and you can send a message in that rhyme of words too.
A trible called quest's "The low end theory" proves that rapping is more than sounding good it's about free speech in a song.
(God damn i sound so corny when i read that back, but whatever tho π)
He sounds so midwest emo rather than like witch house aggresive rap like Sematary, i like this switch ngl
This is basically just an album filled with dopamine boosters, like scrolling through tiktok and finding a shit ton of memes
Bro when i heard this it feels like i'm reliving me listening to Dreamcast summer songs for the first time and that made me realize, "Wait... dreamcast summer songs IS THE FIRST Vaporwave album that has been created, right?".
It takes an even more chill turn on the second half of the album, i thought i'll get such a hype album with bumpy songs but this is like songs to chill to
