“4 Your Eyez Only” is by far J. Cole’s greatest album to date. Cole for me is an artist that never seemed to be able to explore his full potential but this 2016 release proved differently. This record features Cole in his most conceptual. Telling a story of death and love by intertwining his life and experiences with those of his late friend James McMillan Jr as the LP is dedicated to James’ daughter

“4 Your Eyez Only” features excellent songwriting and ... read more

After his amazing conceptual debut "Psychodrama" Dave returns with another incredible effort

Dave tackles issues in his community, racial injustices and discusses his past with great storytelling and vivid imagery

Production on the record is very smooth, even ethereal on the more somber tracks

The intro "We're All Alone" is a very strong start to the record being a two part song. Following, "Verdansk" and "Clash" are both bangers and "In The ... read more

Kendrick Lamar's "DAMN." is easily his most polarising release to date

An album that never reached its incredible potential of being another masterpiece from Kendrick

The record concentrates on themes of duality having many track titles contradict each other (PRIDE-HUMBLE, LOVE-LUST, GOD-FEAR). Other themes contain racial injustices and Kendrick's feelings on fame and his perception by the public

The album's narrative is loosely based on the previous year's Vince Staples EP ... read more

IDK's new album is good but inconsistent

The standout tracks are really good but there is some serious filler here

Another thing is the sequencing of the songs because we go from a very mediocre song about nothing in "Keto" to the more deep tracks like "Hey Auntie" where he talks about being molested. I don't understand how these songs are on the same album especially so close to each other in the tracklist

The triplet of tracks "PradadaBang", "Shoot My ... read more

As blunt and as poignant as ever Vince Staples is back at it again with an amazing release

His Self Titled is great. Although the tracks are short in length they are filled with content and that is something really remarkable about the record. No song exceeded 3 minutes but every track feels complete making "Vince Staples" an incredible experience front to back

Production from Kenny is fantastic and really elevates the album

Do I wish it was longer? Of course I do, I ... read more
