Thrice - Palms

If Thrice has become anything, it is consistent. This album continues down the path they have paved over the last decade or so, abandoning their emo-esque style for a more alternative rock sound that is likely easier for the mainstream listener to take in. This has its perks, as the groups mainstream success has blossomed from their last three or so records, but it also has led down a path in which the group has stopped growing and will perhaps never release an album that truly inspires the listener. All in all, this is hard to dislike but isn't quite an album that you'll ever see on anyone's top list as it isn't mind blowing or versatile enough to be taken seriously as a true mainstay of the groups discography.
