The Fall - This Nation's Saving Grace

I wish this hooked me more. It has a strong vibe that seems like something that would be up my alley, and it has a strange and different sound from other albums coming out in the 1980s; a mixture of southern rock, post-punk, so on and so forth. The songs are generally well-crafted and I never felt disappointed with a song as it was playing. I just don't think I would ever come back and listen to this album again. It was fine for what it was in the moment, and it had some strong moments, it just didn't have the same staying power as other (at least somewhat) similar albums from the same era. Maybe I'll force myself back into this album and see if I feel differently at some point, but as it stands this is a good album but nothing great.
