PULL THE TAPEWORM OUT OF YOUR ASS, HEY!
The late 90s and early 2000s were certainly not greatest of times for metal music. The genre was being pushed towards an alternative sounding direction that, while it was successful and did good numbers at the time, boy was it corny. While XXX was filled with crazy bangers that reflected Danny Brown's life at the time, Quaranta, a much more soothing and introspective journey, sees Danny looking back at his career with (sadly) mostly depression filled reflections and a very bittersweet nostalgic tone. It's a more mature album, but the costs of this maturity definitely took their toll on Danny.
