When I think about Homogenic, I think about experimental and electronic beats, but I also think about grand and epic string arrangements, and this song is not only the best example of that on the album, but it's also, in my opinion, one the most epic pieces of pop music ever written, I really can't describe how out of this world this song feels. Björk's vocal performance on this track is just something else, it is fierce, it is strong, it is a performance of an artist that is not just determined on making something beautiful, but is also in total and complete control of her craft. And I really can't stress enough just how good the instrumentation here is, the vocal performance I just mentioned and the gorgeous violin strings give me an eargasm every. single. time I listen to this.
