DS4EVER is a glittering album with absolutely fantastic instrumentals. The beats here are enormous, beautiful and sugary. They feel like the natural conclusion of the dialectical aesthetic conversation between albums like Trip at Knight and Uzi's 2020 output, fusing the buzzsaw synths and dance-trap rhythms pretty seamlessly. The problem is Gunna, who spoils this so hard that it kinda sucks- he is on snoozer autopilot mode for the entire hour this thing hums on for. It's infuriating and honestly pretty boring, all because of Gunna's extremely one-dimensional and tired vocals and lyrics.
