If I was rating based off of enjoyability on a regular day to day basis it's like a 76 if I'm honest, but... this album literally predicted the whole sound of the 70's. I marvel at how it capture's the 70s rock scene before it even happened.
Edit:
I was wrong it's higher than 76. It's accurate to my score I just didn't and still don't care for moonchild but I don't hate it like I used to.
At first it's just noise... then the bad acid trip kicks in
This is pretty average rage. It's Carti without the originality in experimentation and flow. It's Nardo Wick but instead of an original and more consistent vibe to match with the production, he uses a Lil Uzi flow.
This is proof you can have ignorant lyrics and make one of the best albums of all time.
Edit: Re-reading this and this is def racism cause like what am i saying
This is what it feels like to escape the matrix. I don't know what that means or what it entails but that's the vibe.
This is an amazing story of a man who's dealing with his own sinful nature. At the same time I gotta mention the problems everyone else has mentioned and more, too influenced sometimes, the length needs better production to make it stick, and honestly there's too many skits and interludes.
Me the second half of the album: Is he using the same sounds from previous songs?
Yes they sound exactly the same. The first half when you first found these sounds are hard as fuck though.
Edit: Actually I'm warming up to the sounds and find them to be sounds in comparison to just sounds. Sounds still bring the sound down by being too much sound
Young Thug has created some of the best flows and voice in hip hop. His production is miles behind him.
Edit (44->88): nvm i was on crack
I ain't gon lie the transphobia really ruined the song "Hadouken." I don't wanna talk about this project just using this review to shit on transphobia.
SZA's safe yet experimental album. It's fine. When she experiments she does the most commercial version of another genre, when she doesn't it feels like a more "fine" version of what she's already done. This passes the bar.
Edit: Maybe I'm more impressed by her voice and what she's already done anyways.
this shit like being twerked on for a hour straight. it get stale but it's still ass so
what
the
fuck
I'm so glad this album isn't any better cause I don't want to argue for the rest of my life why Quadeca made a better album than To Pimp a Butterfly
