The fusion of genres to create the perfect haunting undertones was extremely well done, but I can't help but feel that much of Mazy Fly's substance was drowned by this very atmosphere. At least half of this album felt eerie... but not much else. The second half was much better at working with the concept instead of being drowned by it, but it still felt futile for the overall album. Mazy Fly certainly has its share of interesting ideas and highlight tracks, but I wish that she thought just a little less about building an environment and more about what you can do with that environment.
