Petty jealousy, isolation, sadness, bitterness, loneliness and fragility are the main themes of one of the most aggressive and obscure projects I’ve ever listened to. ‘the idler wheel’ left me shocked: that’s the second album I listened to by Fiona Apple and it’s brilliantly composed and written. I love how her songwriting is always complex and overwhelming, but I really appreciate her interpretation of the songs too: she whispers, screams and sometimes her voice ... read more

phoebe bridgers’ debut album ‘stranger in the alps’ is overwhelmingly beautiful and vulnerable. I discovered her after listening to punisher (my actual aoty) and I completely fell in love with her music! her storytelling is magnificent, she makes me feel pure emotions and even though i think that ‘punisher’ is one step forward, also this debut is really heart melting and lovely.
highlights: ‘smoke signals’, ‘motion sickness’, ... read more

‘homogenic’ is the best electronic album ever composed. the whole album can be considered as an enchanting ode to her homeland, Iceland, through gorgeous strings and frosty sounds (even more explored in ‘vespertine’). every single track is a timeless masterpiece and thanks to the unexpected changes of sounds it never annoys, never. not a single song is placed in the wrong position, not a single production is ‘bad’ or even simply ‘good’. everything ... read more

MAGDALENE is an electronic masterpiece. it’s definitely FKA twigs’s most solid project to date and it’s characterized by an almost inimitable vulnerability and unique productions. this album comes from her breakup with her ex-fiancé Robert Pattinson, due to the strong criticism by the public: this topic is beautifully depicted in ‘cellophane’, a fragile ballad, which is one of MAGDALENE’s peaks. in general, the whole project is majestical and cohesive, ... read more

oh , yay! my personal favorite fiona album is ‘idler wheel...’ as each song is the best song :) although, ‘when the pawn...’ hits different with Jon Brion’s advanced production. also, if you’re into reading lyrics, ‘Tidal’ has some of her most personal stories
