No clue what they are talking about.
This album has grown on me a lot since I originally reviewed it, which is crazy because I had this at 95, but the album just keeps getting better and better with each listen. The album is layers upon layers of the best fusion of genres I've ever heard. The intricacy of IDM with the rawness of shoegaze is a perfect match here. Eh... I mean, Strictly 4 The Scythe is a perfectly fine mixtape, but I just don't think anything particularly stands out. There are a couple of great songs, mainly "LIT EFFECT" and "PHONY", which had great features on them. Aside from Denzel, BKTHERULA and A$AP Ferg had the best performances personally and there were a few boring features from Luh Tyler or Rich The Kid. Been a while since I last listened to anything related to punk and Entertainment by Gang of Four kinda ignited that punk spark again.
This album is the very definition of a tight listen. It's 12 tracks and 40 minutes of pure post-punk fun with a couple of sick bangers like the intro "Ether" or "Damaged Goods".
