Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

There's not much I can add that hasn't been said already, Fantastic album with very few mid considering the length.
The start of this album is especially strong, but there's still plenty of gems scattered around the rest of this album.

Favorite Tracks: Funeral for a Friend / Love Lies Bleeding, Candle in the Wind, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Grey Seal, All the Girls Love Alice, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting.
Least Favorite Tracks: Jamaica Jerk Off (Very hot take I know)

Wanted to check out some of Sir Elton's lower rated stuff to see if it's really that bad and well.... it is.
The highlights of this listen were:
- The instrumental of Heartache all over the world
- Some elements of hoop of fire
- The first 15 seconds of don't trust that woman before elton ruins it.
- Slow rivers sounded nice enough I guess? (I'm stretching a bit here)
- the laughs I got from a few of these songs.

Heartache all over the world is a big guilty pleasure of mine but I understand ... read more

Wasn't a huge fan of quite a bit of this album but this song will always be an absolute highlight for me :)
Elton John - Madman Across the Water

Tiny Dancer, Levon & Madman Across the Water are all gorgeous 10/10 tracks. The instrumentals hard carry Razor Face, Indian Sunset & Holiday Inn. Hecccc, I even love the dramatic final track Goodbye. Unfortunately Rotten Peaches is a bit of a filler track & the second half of All the Nasties goes on way too long. Despite that this is still an amazing listening experience.

I used to think this album was the greatest thing to ever exist and safe to say I've changed my mind on that now. I do still hold this in very high regard however as I absolutely love the eerie, cutesy vibe the songs give me.

Somewhere only we know is for sure the strongest song on the album, I must've heard it so many times but it's definetly stood the test of time and is one of my favorite songs ever. The rest of this album consists of solid catchy piano rock tracks such as Bend & ... read more
