The Buggles - The Age of Plastic

Somehow i also felt like The Buggles were a bit odd for the synthpop and new wave catalog. I mean like sure, Video Killed The Radio Star is more pop rock-ish, but they also have Clean Clean on here for example to form a contrast, a song with incredible drive between the verses, then a decent chorus and topping it off with a bit of a cringy solo... It's glorious though.

So, as for the quality of this album, it's pretty good. Sure, I Love You (Miss Robot) and Astroboy And The Proles On Parade don't feel or sound essential at all, but there's some real gems on here. Especially Elstree, an ode to a film studio, is great. Pure magic.
