A Moon Shaped Pool is Radiohead's most recent album. It reflects well all of the band's evolution and work. It's strong and well done. I've been reading some opinions about this and a lot of people say that this is almost like a fusion between Amnesiac, The King Of Limbs and In Rainbows. I guess I can agree with that.
Radiohead knew what they were doing but it doesn't mean that this isn't experimental. It mixes some electronic, pop, rock and folk influences. As I said before, there are some elements from their other albums and the results are amazing! A Moon Shaped Pool is more organic, is delicate, soft and it caries a deep deep sadness that the listener can't resist! The layers, the instrumentation, everything works well. When I listen to it I imagine slow movements, chilling vibes, a strong melancholy. It is just like the soundtrack to a dream. What I imagine is pretty much the cover art moving... It's so pure...
This album is a personal favourite of mine, I absolutely love it!
The grass grows over me
Your face in the glass, in the glass
It was just a laugh, just a laugh
It's whatever you say it is
In split infinity"
So good.
