Hatchie's sophomore album 'Giving the World Away' is such a blissful trip of an album, it takes you through this reverb-soaked wave of 90's nostalgia and packages it in an infectious, catchy and danceable vibe which in turn makes for the best Pop album of the year so far. Everything on this album is just pure bliss, from the production to the vocals there just isn't a moment where it feels half-baked or boring, it's all pure quality and the way Hatchie culminates the sounds of Dream Pop, Shoegaze and Baggy into these Dance flourishes and ideas is nothing short of impressive, and it makes for some fantastic songs generally. I can't stress how fantastic the production and engineering on this album is as well, it's just insane how good this sounds and the huge sound lends itself all too well to what influences and ideas Hatchie pulls from. It's just a good fucking record and it's definitely gonna be one to remember in terms of Dream Pop for me.
