Caribou - Suddenly
Sister - A slow and subdued start to the album but with plenty of little intricate electronic sounds to remain interesting. Dan's vocals are good here although I feel like the song doesn’t really go anywhere and doesn’t get me excited to hear more. Maybe a grower. 7/10
You and I - Love the intro to this song, really catchy and summer-y. The rest of the song goes a bit downhill for me after the break into a funkier section a bit over 1 minute into the song. This ... read more

David Bowie - Low
Side note - Love the cover art
Speed of Life - An excellent start, all instrumental, it simultaneously sounds 80s and futuristic. Also it grows on you the more you listen. An upbeat and catchy appetiser of a song, the perfect opening statement for an album that I'm now really looking forward to. 10/10.
Breaking Glass - Absolutely killer bassline on this one. Singing is decent but would have hoped for a stronger vocal performance on the first singing section ... read more

1. Can’t say I’m looking forward to this album, let’s see how it goes though. High energy start with very good drumming. It’s pretty catchy and fun but I’m not too bothered about Sting’s singing….it also seems quite quiet and lost within the song which is odd. It’s a fine start to an album but it hasn’t got me excited for the rest 6/10
2. Again the drumming is immediately the highlight…is it david stickland ... read more

His singing is as you'd expect, emotive and raw. There's a definite Elvis feel to some of the vocals, It's an unusual start to an album at at almost 8 mins long I'm not sure if it's the best idea. However, I will keep in mind that albums were less cohesive back then. The lyrics are good but overall it's ... read more

Moonchild - Standard epic opening for an M83 album. It has soaring vocals combined with futuristic synths. It's a great opening which sets you up for the type of album (I'm assuming) its going to be. Sounds like the epic finale to a space film, someone has just sacrificed themselves in slow motion so that a planet of aliens can survive. 8/10
Don't Save us from the flames - The second song of the three that I know on this album. It's super fast paced and euphoric. The vocals are ... read more
