F.O.O.L is back with a new EP that delivers exactly what I expect from him, but this time it goes with a heavier and more punchy touch. The atmosphere feels more immersive and steadily builds over time, while the energy remains consistently high throughout. Each tracks also has its own personality to get a lot of fun, and the sonic variety is rich and captivating. Once again, the man strongly proves that he knows how to bring quality work to the table.

A small yet lovely album from Amy, filled with cozy, delicate melodies and warm instrumentation. I feel like several tracks here takes inspiration from Moe Shop groovy sounding style, and it does fit well with the theming she builds around here. Well, there's no better way to describe this than a cute, sweet, and soothing experience.

Even if this third album is a pretty step down from his previous one, MPH still manages to cement himself as part of the rising waves within the UK music scene. This album embraces a darker, more rave-driven atmosphere, supported by crunchy basslines and sharp vocals throws that add extra texture to the total listening journey. It carries well that MPH's groovy idiosyncrasy that I personally have a soft spot for, just not at the same level as "Refraction". Still, the energetic ... read more
camoufly has been one of my most listened-to artist this year, so I was really looking forward to taking a listen for his debut album when it was announced. And what do you expect? It's a straight home run for me. The record sets a simple, infectious, and club-focused House/Garage groove that barely lets me sit still at my desk without nodding my head to the rhythm, and I genuinely enjoy this approach from camoufly. On top of that, some tracks in the album are garnished with beautiful ... read more
Sonny's latest album holistically leans more toward a mixtape or DJ mix than a traditionally structural album, a venture into his early Brostep/Dubstep territory. However, it is filtered through a much more modern and innovating idea instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. I have not been always a huge enjoyer of Brostep, but this April Fools dropped shit pack itself with lots of fun moments worth digging into. Humorous quotes drops, repeated tags, unpredictable sound switches, and that ... read more
The sustained energy and bouncy rhythms keeps this four-track-EP fresh and engaging throughout the runtime rather than being "just another basic Hybrid Trap record", and I have to give kudos to SPORTMODE for that. It's a solid project from him, and I would definitely love to explore more of his previous works.

𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓: flute song
Another nice, laid-back Stutter House record from demotapes that stays true to his blissful soundscape.

A good blend of dubstep and metal record that sets the consistency on its game, with some moments leaning into genre-experimenting ideas. Sometimes I do wish the highs were pushed beyond the envelope more, yet overall this being such an genuinely interesting first step into PhaseOne music.
𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐒: SHADOWS, RESET, DIVIDE
𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓: TERRANOVA
Serviceable, by-the-book DnB collection that backed up itself by ALS's decent vocal performance.

Deeply rooted in the shiny ‘10s she discovered during teenage years spent scrolling the Internet and diving into her own musical universe, ILMC is a bold reinterpretation of her artistic journey illuminated by quirky, club-ready Electropop bops and bubblegum EDM-infused cuts. It isn't something that breaks new ground, just being bombastic and swaggering in its 40 minutes runtime. It's the kind of music that keep your body moving ... read more
It's the new sound coming to save me.
Perhaps the most anticipating album I've looked forward to listening to this year since I was REALLY on board with their singles like omg they are so DAMN GOOD. Over 45 mins do the Prost sibling revel in frenzied, hypnotizing Electropop cuts that draws inspiration from golden-aged EDM catharsis, mixed them with their own "genuine love" spell. It's the culmination of their strong sisterhood crystallized in the moments they sing ... read more
A worse version of Gorilla Warfare, but frankly this 9-track-project is pure abrasive, ear-splitting tries with barely any replay value on it. Come on, at least his debut album still captured way funnier and more interesting cuts.
𝐅𝐀𝐕: Run It
𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓: Pay Respect, Show Em, M.D.E, Throwin' Bows
Combining Knock2-like production choice and a slew of Similar Outskirts' elements, this EP makes for a nice comeback from him even if its recycled concept has lost some of the charm for me.
𝐅𝐀𝐕: Mystic Roar
𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓: Stellar Beam
A final shot from the Color Bass pioneer before shifting his sound toward a more underground UK aesthetic, "Between" feels like a safer play from Chime, driven mainly by his flourishing colorful sound design. Nothing goes wrong here, but personally some promising moments in the project ultimately fail to hit the right spot for me.

𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓: Control
Devoting all her love to the ocean's luminescence and its creatures, Japanese singer-songwriter's eighth album beautifully captures the spirit of the sea throughout musicality. Melancholic piano melodies, delicately woven strings, and richly ornamented instruments all intertwine with Aoba's otherworldly, soothing voice to create something of a serene, comforting, and emotionally driven record that completely draw me into its realm. It's like an angel sitting beside you and ... read more
The genre-shifting duo reunite for another neat, booming project where their Melodic Riddim/Color Bass styles again complement each other fascinatingly. It's an amalgamation of blissful melodies, punchy sound design, and a fresh wave of energy that captures the unmistakable character of their music: vivid, clever and full of personality.

After ten years making waves in the DnB world, mainstay NCS duo has dropped their first full length album that holistically feels like their weakest performance to date. Whether it's about gathering notable features or venturing into the sonic territory beyond their roots, the two friends ultimately struggled to keep the ample energy burning across the total runtime. A stripped-back approach seems not to perfectly excel here.

As this Hybrid Trap style steadily gains recognition in the electronic music scene, SPORTMODE continues to push forward with his latest EP "liminal". It's a decent listen with hard-hitting production and consistent energy flow, but honestly the reliance on familiar recipes undermines its own uniqueness.

The fifth installment of Alien Pop solidifies joyful, sugarcoated aesthetics in the music and branding of Snail's House, opening up more rooms to play around with instruments and samples in the most brilliant way. Nothing particularly out of the box if we compare it to previous editions, yet this meets the standard criteria for a family-friendly kawaii future bass record.
𝐅𝐀𝐕: Kimino Satellite
𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓: Discovery
Pushing the sound into the more aggressive riddim aesthetic direction, Paper Skies' latest project is a strong interpretation of his new artistic era. While the intensity sometimes feels all over the place for me, the record still displays its boldness throughout clever ideas, smooth switches and creative use of sounds and samples.
