Writing an actual review for this because, as a long-time fan of BTS, I am severely disappointed.
Going into this album, I had high expectations. Pre-release, it was touted as “going back to their roots,” along with exploring Korean culture, as one can see from the title Arirang, which is an old folk song and the first recorded piece of Korean music. None of this was achieved.

i mainly listen to Ichiko Aoba when going to sleep, i've never felt so safe listening to an artist
I'm saying this as a person who actually likes some kpop and isn't adverse to the genre (and used to be a Stay ca. 2019), but this is ASS. I genuinely had to pause so often to put my head in my hands and question my entire existence.
There were several times where I thought a verse or smth had potential and then a cringe ass lyric, or the production, or the chorus, or all of the above ruined it in two seconds flat.
