Deathconsciousness has been on my radar for a while now, but going into it I didn't know what it was going to sound like. Based off the first track I was expecting ambient music, but that ended up not being the case. This album was an experience. Every song feels like an additional piece of worldbuilding for the dense and depressing journey this album takes you on. The general mood this gives off is uniquely sorrowful. I can't think of a word that ... read more
My Girls is a great and catchy song, but most of this album doesn't do much for me. It's not bad at all, but I feel like it got repetitive both lyrically and musically. It has notable moments, but a lot of it blended together to me.
This is a nice album. It has the signature Modest Mouse sound to it, but is easily the most accessible thing by them that I've heard. This does make it less unique then then the other albums I've heard, but this is very consistent and a pleasant listen. It has high highs, and the lows aren't bad at all.

The songs can range from “Hey, this is fun” to “What did he just compare to macaroni?” That is to say that they’re either ok, or bad. I still got some simple enjoyment out of the album and the only really bad part was Coming Clean, so Ill give it above a 50, but this isn’t ... read more
Metal is really hit or miss for me, and this sadly doesn't do anything for me. Blood and Thunder is a good song and the album cover is cool, but most of these songs felt very similar and like nothing interesting was going on. Not really bad, mostly just boring.
