Elementy, you've done it again. This project is just pure insanity, and if you know me you know I love insanity. Nothing much to say other than this project should be the inspiration for future brutal prog bands, not to mention the experimentation that is littered throughout this project that gives it that sweet kick that makes it feel flawless.
Wow wow wow, thank you @stonest for this recommendation because this truly is magnificent. The sampling, the fun, the everything really. I personally cannot find a single flaw with this project, hell even the length of it is pretty good.
Not sure if this counts as my first "Ghettotech" record that I listened to, but if that is the case then I want to list to more very soon.
This project is just beautiful in every which way. When this plays, I cannot stop bobbing my head up and down, not to mention how colorful this project sounds. Compared to a lot of the other digicore stuff I have heard, this takes the cake.
Though yes I do understand how this project can be seen as a journey on the betterment of someone's music-making abilities, I feel like there are better ways to portray that progression. Not to mention I think this is more of a compilation, rather than a LP.
I do commend the artist in a lot of the experimentation on some of the tracks, but there are some on here which make the project feel so incredibly dragged. I would say if you got rid of the first 50 songs on here, this would be way ... read more
Wow this is crazy, like I am hearing beautiful melodies while my life is being threatened, and I LOVE IT!
Not a single moment on this project where I didn't enjoy it, and I really think this should be noted for how good it is. Thank you @jaden for inspiring me to listen to this project because it is very good.
Well hey, this sounds really nice. It is quite mixed in its sound, and it kind of reminds me of a Cities Aviv album with some of the songs on here. The album does not drag, nor does it run too short. Pretty good in my opinion, and I think more people should listen to this.
In terms of how mixed this project is, you would not think the first song and the last song are from the same project, let alone the same artist.
Either way, really good!
This album is interesting, specifically in the stance that I see the vision Ye had initially with some of the more apologetic songs on here, but I can only assume the pressure around him, from both fans and friends, led him to add more when more wasn't needed. I kind of wish that the songs with the more nostalgic and melancholic aesthetic were the main sound of this album, but evidently some songs on here, such as Father or Circles, were purely designed for the fans.
This album has songs ... read more
Way better than the Velvet Underground version of this album (in my own opinion of course).
I do not share the views of the musician behind this project, I merely enjoy the sonic nature of the project.
These sessions are truly just magnificent, and not a single moment on here did I even think of the release version being better.
DJ Screw is one of the greatest DJs of all time, and that is an objective truth. This serves as a true testament to his genius ways of mixing.
HOOWEEEEEEE
Now this is a really good project, and there is not a single track on here which "drags". Heavensouls, you really are putting some form of manipulative magic in your music because I feel like I am sucked into this album.
Quite the fun DJ Mix, and I should probably listen to more Jane Remover stuff.
This was beautiful, and I relistened to it like 3 times after listening to it the first time because I loved it so much. Good to see a comeback, and RIP Groggs.
Hello everybody, sorry I've been gone, but I was dealing with some personal issues of mine. Thanks to @handsomenapkin for this recommendation, and I will say that this felt really good. Just imagine going on a swing in an empty park; the skies are grey and cars are passing by right in fron- oh wait that is quite similar to the cover. Anyway, yes this was real good.
It's no secret that I love atmospheric sludge metal, and with an album that sounds like this, along with that beautiful album name, you know I couldn't resist giving this anything above a 90.
I'm not lying when I say that this genuinely stunned me on first listen. Not much else to say on my end.
A really good compilation of covers by one of the best bands to ever do it, I mean what else can you really ask for?
