Stone Temple Pilots - Purple

I firmly believe this is the best album of all time. I own many physical copies, have seen STP perform it live, and listened to hundreds of times. Every track is enjoyable and different from the last so that tracks stop blurring together. Awesome art, hilarious hidden track, this album is the whole package. The basslines are prominent and complex, and the mix allows Robert DeLeo's tasty lines to be heard. His guitarist brother Dean follows, with old-school jazz chords in a Zeppelin style. ... read more

I really like how cohesive and uniform this album is. I think none of the tracks are worth skipping, and Amanda Palmer's lyricism is astounding. A very grim album, the kind of thing you can't put on in the background. Great record, and the best of the year.

This is like, hands down my favorite hip-hop album period.

It wasn't that it was bad, it was that it just didn't click as "special" for me. I get that it's unique, but not in the same way that artists like Gasoline or DOOM feel unique. Not bad, but just felt like any ol album.

This shit SUUUUUUUUCKS imo. Imagine stealing all of your songs and then people pretending you weren't dogshit 😭 🥀

The Beatles - Revolver

Instrumentation shines on here far and above all else, George really has a grip on time and tone.

NR

Is it the best album if all time, yes, will I be giving it that rating accordingly, absolutely.

KISS - Kiss
95

Giving it a 95 instead of a 100 because the anti-cheese patrol might get on my ass but whatever. A solid rock album that's well written, especially if you like the key of A flat Major. No filler, all killer, as douchy magazines say about rock albums. Solid bass lines, incredible guitar fills, easily Kiss' best album.

"I don't think the point was quite clear enough, I understand the album is innovative or ingenuitive, but personally, I find that the themes and tones read as outdated (I understand the album is nearly 30). I think the bends is a great Radiohead album, but this album feels full and outdated."
