The Weeknd - Thursday
70
Although not as good as House of Balloons, The Weeknd's sophomore mixtape is saved by his experimentation with more rock sounds, it definitely makes the project more interesting. I think what ultimately hurts Thursday is the fact that some songs are too long and frankly it just gets boring after a while.

Highlights: The Zone, Life of the Party and Rolling Stone.

The Weeknd shows a lot of potential on his debut mixtape. The project is very moody and definitely has a darker atmosphere to it, which goes well with his voice. What stops me from giving House of Balloons a higher score is the fact that he sounds whiny at times and I don’t enjoy his rapping.

Highlights: High for This, Wicked Games and What You Need.

*NSYNC - Celebrity
78
Celebrity is more quirky production wise than No Strings Attached, so their personalities definitely come through more. However, the songs aren't as catchy so overall the record isn't as good as their previous. They still deliver great songs though especially the ballads. Pop also remains their best track in my opinion.

Highlights: Pop, Celebrity and Girlfriend.

*NSYNC - No Strings Attached
80
Following their massive debut album and a lawsuit with their manager *NSYNC came back with No Strings Attached, the album cover is very interesting as it shows the members as puppets. The record is arguably the best representation of teen pop during the Y2K era, the songs are all catchy, the melodies are great and their harmonies enhance them all even more. Not to mention the several pop classics they delivered here.

Highlights: Bye Bye Bye, It's Gonna Be Me and I'll Never Stop.

*NSYNC - Home for Christmas
72
Home for Christmas is surprisingly a good holiday album, especially for a teen boyband. It really has a homey feel to it and you can hear all the members this time around. They give good renditions of christmas standards that show their good harmonies.

Highlights: Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Kiss Me at Midnight and Home for Christmas.

Hey hey! Hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to let you know that my band’s debut album, “Empty Homes in Blue Light” is out now on all platforms! I appreciate if you end up giving it a shot, and if not no worries at all :) Here’s the AOTY link if you’re interested:

Thank you! Vocal lessons are a great, I take them over Zoom because my Uncle does them for me (he went to college for vocal) but it’s still a really cool experience!

And yay! I can’t wait to dive into her music!

Sounds all good to me! I basically enjoy anything 😂

As long as she has a tolerable voice, I’m open to pretty much and sing out there. Thanks for breaking it down for my btw.

I’m OBSESSED with Carly lately… at first I thought she was mad overrated, but she’s actually so good!

And yeah, I’ll look into Madonna soon!

I need to get into Ray Of Light; it’s on my list after all. And Madonna is such a staple pop artist, she’s literally the boss woman of pop!

How do you feel about Carly Rae Jepsen?

I also enjoy Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Shania Twain! Those other artists have also been on my radar though!

Madonna’s ‘Frozen’ is one of my favorite songs out there.

And nice! Lovely pop artists! Not a ton of pop fans on the site unfortunately.
