Stella Donnelly - Beware of the Dogs

Indie rock fatigue is real.

Stella Donnelly has a sharp tongue and a distinct accent; there were a few times where I let out a little chuckle from her witty musings. I think her I like her personality slightly more than her music. Her poignant stories are funny, but the instrumentation underwhelms me. 'Boys Will Be Boys' is a total standout, and probably the song I will take away from this album. I was hoping there was something that would really grab me about this album, but it is solid nonetheless. I am not sure how much I will return to this record in full, but there are many songs I will put into rotation. The opening song has some very nice guitars!
