Trivium's magnum opus?
The american metalcore band "trivium" have been on a great form in the last few years but although releasing two successful and acceptable albums since 2017 (what the dead men say and the sin and the sentence) and receiving positive responses from the fans and critics, but there was still a lot of problmes. The albums weren't really groundbreaking or surprising, they were just good and that's it. There were even some filler tracks in both of the albums. Also there were still some old fans that weren't pleased with the new records, they wanted something different, they wanted something as great as shogan. So trivium had to do something. They had to make something extraordinary, something that pleases everyone. And that's where they made their new record.
Trivium 10th studio album "in the court of the dragon" is in my opinion the best they've ever done and even one of the best metalcore albums of the last 20 years. Epic metalcore and alternative metal songs alpng with medieval inspired lyrics are not something new at all, but trivium managed to master this formula and combination and even outdoing themselves and all they've released before.
Once again matt heafy's powerful and unbelievably amazing vocals are a great part of the record and showing his power and worthiness of being counted as one of the best frontmen in the metalcore scene.
