I think the songs here are a bit more developed and interesting. This feels more worked on without sacrificing the genuineness of the work.
But what makes this not a 100 like ACLAM is purely the fact that this is less cohesive and "works" less.
Anyway, the way that Mount Eerie transmits emotion is fantastic.
And even when I'm not really feeling anything, like now, I can totally enjoy his music. This record has some weirdly catchy moments like the "people get cancer and die / people get hit by trucks and die" line. The composition is more complex than ACLAM's.
Overall, Now Only is yet another masterpiece by Mount Eerie that gets a bit undervalued because of ACLAM but I still love it.
