This, in my opinion, is fall out boys peak in sound and lyricism. With strong tracks like "Coffee's for closers" and really soft and powerful tracks like "Donnie what a catch". The album tackles many themes of identity, drug use, and the loss of love in songs like "Headfirst slide into Coopersville town on a bad bet" and "27". And to end it all off fall out boy gives us one of their best songs to date "west coast smokers" with its great transition from "20 dollar nose bleed" and its powerful climax towards the end of the song makes it one of the best fall out boy songs. Overall folie a deux is one of fall out boys best albums and is a shining example of what fall out is capable of.
