This heavy Album by the Sludge Metal Band Chat Pile shows perfectly how bad the life is in a capitalistic elite Country like the USA. The Group writes about homelessness, drugs and just pure rage against the system. Around the mostly disturbing themes they deliver rough guitar riffs with anger filled and exhausted vocals. It's pretty ironic that we have a song called grimace smoking weed on the same Album as "Why". Overall this Project is another great one for my metal journey ... read more
Dope Cover and Music. This Album features a lot of the coolest guitars you will ever hear. They can be instrumental and light and more noisy and hard. Most of the Tracks are really long and include many ups and downs in regards to pace and volume. The Songs that are shorter are the ones that are rated the lowest because they rather work as a bridge between the packed Songs. There were many big standouts like „The Grudge“, „Schism“, „Parabola“ and the title ... read more
Short but sweet Mixtape on which Cities Aviv shows his clever and abstract producing and with it also delivers great rapping and good songwriting. The Tracks flow in each other like fine wine and end up in the remarkable and nostalgic outro „NOT THAT I‘M ANYWHERE“. A Cloud Rap classic.
One of the best Pop Albums I‘ve ever heard. This Album puts you in a listening trance from start to finish, with sensational build up instrumentals, melodic verses, a beautiful voice and catchy choruses. The Cover is the perfect depiction for this Album, because it genuinely makes you feel like floating in the Ocean, due to the ethereal and lush Sound of it. For the Production it features a lot of different instruments and sounds and is crafted together so well. And the Vocals may be one ... read more
I did not plan to listen to this Album. The only projects i know from Dave are his Song „Sprinter“ featuring Central Cee, which is a really modern mainstream song, that got overplayed and overhyped during 2023. So I didn‘t expect Dave to now drop an Album with good music, but it seems like I was wrong. I saw the good reviews and thought I‘ll give it a listen. Already from the Intro Track „History“ you realize that this isn’t the usual Dave UK Rap. The ... read more
I think this is the definitive soundtrack to how I would imagine the 80's.
The really funky production with these random funny sound effects and the weird yet great vocals. Talking Heads kicked off the New-Wave genre with their music and I think Remain In Light sounds like it kicked off every single Music style that we know. By the way that these songs are crafted together: The talking solo vocals get suddenly backed up by heavenly background vocals and this really different, yet ... read more
A really cool industrial Metal Introduction
The first thing that is very great about this Album are the aggressive guitar riffs, that mostly make this Project what it is. Although the guitars can get pretty repetitive over the course of the LP, they still . The Vocals were a bit overshadowed by the performance of the noisy electric guitars, but still sounded really good in combination. The best Song in here is by far "Christbait Rising" and the rest of the Tracks are all on the same ... read more
Tame Impala maybe would've made a better Album if he wasn't just one guy.
This new more Dance and Electronic focusing Album by Kevin Parker is extremely dissapointing for die hard Fans and even also for all the People that just know him for Hits like "Let It Happen", "Borderline" or "New Person, Same old Mistakes". Listeners that want bangers and catchy Songs should rather listen to his old stuff, because on here everything feels empty and flat. It feels ... read more
This kind of sounds like Death Grips without the homeless man screaming.
That makes it automatically a good Album.
Holy shit this was amazing
Instrumentally this already was perfect. The Drums and Guitars were incredibly calming to listen too and together with the spoken word passages it was peaceful and beautiful. Until these noisy and dark electric guitars came in like jumpscares, and they made it all even better.
All in all this was one of the best Albums Ive ever listened to and I don‘t see any flaws, so its a perfect 100
This Album is kind of a mixed bag for me.
Some tracks slap and others mostly feel like a generic loop playing for 4 minutes. Same for the production, which I thought would be way better than it eventually ended up. Although the better Tracks really stand out and are some of the best instrumental Songs out there. The less interesting Tracks are still good at least and I can see why people love them. Also to mention is that the ending Songs carry this Album few points higher.
Damn…This was an experience man
I‘ve been waiting for this
This will be the best Band of the years ahead of us
