Time to finally explain one of my most unpopular music opinions: I think that '+' is good. Right off the bat, I'll admit this a pretty safe and not very cutting edge album and that 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' is pure cringe, but most of the songs here actually stand out as quite well written, catchy, pleasant and certainly not as robotic and lifeless as some of his newer music. Ridicule me all you want but I still fuck with tracks like 'The A Team' and 'Small Bump' and I ain't ashamed to ... read more

The hate for this album is completely blown out of proportion. Sure, it's not even remotely close to being Radiohead's best album, but that is, in large part, due to the fact that this is Radiohead we're talking about. If any other band released this, nobody would be talking about this almost 30 years later, and nobody would treat it as if it came straight from the depths of hell.

This is a perfectly respectable Alternative Rock album with a few really great tracks like 'I Can't' or 'Blow ... read more

It seems like this really is Modern Baseball's swan song, although I hope that one day in the future, Brendan Lukens will be in a better place and I'll be proven wrong.

'Holy Ghost' is the band at their most energetic, at their most catchy, at their most honest and retrospective and certainly at their most emotionally potent. This album and the band as a whole are sure to go down in Emo and Pop Punk history as one of the brightest groups in 2010's Midwest Emo and this right here is their ... read more

I mean yeah it's not great by Sufjan Stevens standards but those standards have proven to be quite high. Its an overall somewhat pleasant left field turn from him and one that has enough pretty moment to mostly make up for some of the less interesting and sloppy ideas presented.

The best thing that I can say about 'Gigaton', is that it sounds like a Pearl Jam album, albeit a Pearl Jam album in 2020. The sounds that made the band as iconic as they are is still mostly present and the essence of those early albums remains, in some form, in tact. Yet aside from a few pretty damn good songs, there's not really much else to say or praise this on. It doesn't try to make a name for itself, it doesn't put itself out of its comfort zone, it's just Pearl Jam playing it safe and ... read more

if you had to choose a live performance of a song that's better than the original studio recording, what would it be? it can either be something youve experienced yourself or something from an official live album (cough cough its for a list)
