Kano - Hoodies All Summer

Grime legend and the epitemy of a great grime flower, Kano came back with his criticly acclaimed, 2019 album Hoodies All Summer. The record opens very strong with 3 good, politicaly inspired tracks. Kano expresses more talent when he is rapping about more political content. The tracks filled with better content are weaved together with: good storytelling, nice punchlines and great imagery, especially with lines like 'Politician hush don't make a sound, been oppressing us, couple centuries now and these gunshots never reach your town'. This mans flow, although thouroughly celebrated before, is just so slick with: the bar breaking speeds the way he effortlessly switches
The poppy moments are just not very good, especially compared to the more political moments. His delivery, although iconic and good at times, is just sometimes a bit annoying when: he raps too fast therefore it's not translatable, his voice is too harsh and he tries to sing which ends up sounding goofy as. Sometimes the instrumentals are just either boring like on 'Free Years Later' or predictable like on 'Trouble'. Although a nice record, at times it's kinda like a b tech 'Slowthai's NGAB'.
