I decided to listen to this when I used a random number generator from my stuff I gotta listen to list, and even though I wouldn't say Circles is the best introduction to Mac Miller's work it holds up as an amazingly and surprisingly well done posthumous album.
I can't really say a lot about this album as someone who hasn't listened to his other records, but he seems to really find where he outshines from other rap and R&B artists with how groovy this record is and the way he talks about his pain with what makes him talented and special.
Mac Miller takes a giant turn in Circles with this beautiful, melodic cover of Everybody's Gotta Live by Arthur Lee that shows how talented he really is. Throughout this record you get a soulful deep dive into Mac Miller's life and his emotions and mental state.
