This album perfectly captures a bittersweet nostalgic folk vibe while maintaining an indie foundation throughout. The bass work is unique and presented more as a solo instrument in various tracks. Often layered. Great Indie debut in my humble opinion, stands its own from other amazing local projects.
I originally didn't like this album at all to be completely honest. I had it previously rated at a 40 I think. I'm not honestly sure what keeps this album away from a perfect album. Maybe it just doesn't "speak to me" as much as other albums I've rated perfectly. Wow. So I had followed Covey's Tik Tok and this creation of an album through a series he uploaded over a few months. I thought his creativity was really interesting and in depth so I followed along and didn't expect too much. I was legitimately excited for the album to come out. And when it did... OH MY GOD. It was one of the ... read more
WOOOOOOOO my God this album was worth the wait. It was INCREDIBLE and that's still an understatement. This is what art in music is meant to look and sound like. The way you can visually imagine their intentions through this album is outstanding. It’s truly and simply a symphony of beautiful classic rock and art in the modern day. And of course the instrumental ability of this band is great, but I expected that going in. Before this album's release, every single they released was better ... read more
