Been following Chris for forever. Was hoping for a lot more on this. Chris’ voice is meant for more soulful rap. Get him some soul loops, some horns, some triumphant percussion. some of the tracks with the emo/melodic rap honestly just sounded terrible. The forced intonation can get super annoying too. I appreciate how personal and heartfelt it all feels. Songs like “Useless” and “Changes” show that Chris has the potential to be great, he’s just gotta find his sound and make a more consistent project.
