My mood instantly improves every time I listen to this.

The song starts with incredibly lush acoustic guitar chords that feel like a reassuring breath in and out. Each pluck feels like a ripple of a raindrop in water. Founded upon a low atmosphere, the string arrangements often fill up the mix at a similar level to the vocals. The uplifting pluckiness of the guitar is matched with lightly compressed drums, some calming strings, and what I believe is a harp. The songwriting is what really ... read more

I was doubtful but Tamara managed to do it.

While I believed The Weather Station was on a ride down a steady decline, the band did exactly what I was fearful they wouldn't be able to do. They conjured a luxurious art-pop record including so many natural facets and performed it so effortlessly. While their more folk centric work isn't too polar from art-pop, it definitely possesses a different creative outlook. A record sounding so organic in composition, the sloppiness of instrumentation only ... read more

I've had a change of heart.

After listening, psychoanalyzing, reviewing, rating, tasting, indulging, and inspecting the full Weezer catalog, I can finally say I have reached a final verdict. That verdict being, this is so cute.

Weezer is known across the board for their super enthrallingly unique take on virgin-core, frat-core, lack-of-female-touch-core alternative pop-rock and is by far one of the most influential and one of the most well known and appreciated for doing so. I will not lie I ... read more

I am at a loss for words.

I've been staring at my screen for a few minutes leading me to have to start this review by becoming self-aware. To readdress what every other review has already addressed, Sophie Xeon, better known as SOPHIE is one of the most influential trans innovators and pioneers in the bubblegum bass realm, in the PC Music industry, and in pop music itself. Xeon has managed to mold some of the best sound design into a plethora of deconstructed industrial and wonky tracks. The ... read more

Not rating however I will review the 2 new bonus tracks plus the live bonus track.

Both new tracks feel personal and wholehearted, delivered kindly. I appreciate new elements used that haven't been used before by Morgan. He implements pop in his music undeniably but I think this may be some of his heaviest uses in terms of production elements and structuring. Topically it's interesting. I don't know what it is about this record but I love it so much.

Hi there! I hope you are having an amazing, happy and healthy day today <3

I’m making a ‘Comfort album’ list which would be a go-to album to listen to when we are upset or having a hard time, as music is a source of happiness or comfort to many people. As we are facing such a hard time right now with the COVID-19 pandemic, I believe with this list, we can as a community gather as many albums in a list for anyone who may be looking for a certain album that puts them in a good mood, calms them down, or like I’ve stated before.. comforts them! If you would like to submit an album that does that effect for you, please list these 4 things, album name, artist, and a sentence as to WHY you love this album and WHY it’s such a comfort album for you. It could be because of the lyrics, how it makes you feel.. etc. You may explain it in either one sentence or however many sentences you want, it is your choice! BUT, If you do not have one, no worries then <3 Thank you for reading!

What's up Nico :) My friend Keegan just dropped an impressive debut hip-hop project, I would appreciate it if you can check it out! He is only fifteen years old and it was just so impressive to me, so I just wanted to get people to listen and this is what I thought would spread the word about his album, sorry for the annoyance :) (

As I am planning on making a list from AOTY users, I would like to ask this question: What is an album that you and your parents like? Please elaborate if you'd like :)

Hi, I am here with a question:
If all album covers were edible, which album would you choose to eat?
and yes, this is for a list.

Question for C.L. Jesse: When it comes to reviewing records, what motivates you to always switch things up. Every review is very different from the rest

Sorry I really can't think of a question for CLJesse, thanks for asking though!
