March Recs Challenge | Day 1
Ugh it’s the first day of the challenge and I’m already 2 days behind
I’m really bad at these but I decided to do this so I can finally listen to a lot of the album recs I’ve neglected up until this point
This one specifically’s from my girlfriend and it’s awesome. I love its sound and the way the emotions progress in each song. The moody atmosphere makes each song so captivating. I like this one a lot.

This year I’m gonna try to be more in touch with the music coming out every week, try to listen to more classics, and write more reviews. I think I was doing good with that at the beginning of last year but I really fell off in the latter half. This year I wanna fix that, especially because I truly do love music.
Oh and the review. It’s solid just kinda forgettable. That’s about it. Seeya.
Man ts ain’t holly OR jolly 💔 matter of fact, ts ain’t even merry or bright 🥺
Ik imma party pooper but I think this song would’ve been better without the screamo part. It’s not bad or anything but it feels out of place with the rest of the song and makes me wish it was just two different songs, one with the chamber pop/indie rock sound and one that was screamo
Every song sounds the same, the production is boring, at times it’s poorly mixed, some artists like Carti and SoFaygo are annoying, lots of mid songwriting and some TERRIBLE bars (“ain’t gon shower for days, now how my d**k taste” is a REAL bar 😭🙏). This album is awful
This summer has felt devoid of hits, so much so that there hasn’t really been a “song of the summer”…
Until Tyler dropped.
Nobody expected him to, he had just dropped an album 8 months ago, and had been on tour ever since. Nobody expected him to do a dance record either. But here we are.
This album has tons of club bangers with glitzy production and great Igor esque singing performances from Tyler, but none of the harder rap performances like Big Poe are as ... read more
Before this album, I only knew Kevin Abstract from his feature on Texas Blue by Quadeca, a song I really love. So when I saw Quad advertising Blush on Instagram and saw its features (Peggy, Danny, Quad were the ones that caught my attention), I thought I’d check it out when it came out.
After listening to the album, it’s clear a lot of passion and hard work was put into Blush, and that shines through the music. Its lyrics are vulnerable and personal, with great, vibey production and ... read more
AI is really cool why don’t we use it for things like taxes instead of “art”
Loser July Day 2:
SHES MIIIIINNNEEEEE
YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER
ITS NOT HER TIIIMMMEEEEEEE
For the month of July, I’m gonna listen to a loser album every day.
Loser July Day 1:
This is a great album with a lot to say politically, and with instrumentals that are very long and elaborate, but it’s just not as awe-inspiring as Dark Side of the Moon for me. That’s about it. Seeya.
SOMEBODY GET WAYNE OUT OF THE BOOTH AND REVOKE LIN MANUEL MIRANDA’S FL STUDIO SUBSCRIPTION
This is easily my favorite rap album of the year. The production is exquisite. It’s gorgeous. The flows are incredible, there are some deep, soul hitting bars, it’s just an incredible album all around. Super underrated record that you should totally check out if you haven’t.
I discovered Mei Semones by coming across her On The Radar performance on YouTube. I really liked it, and was surprised it only had around 300 views at the time. So I saw she had a new album coming out, and I made a note of it. “I might listen to it if I feel like it ig”. But this album surprised me - it’s a really good debut album from Mei. It’s an Indie Jazz Pop/Bossa Nova album - and I love it. The instrumentals are charming and pleasant, and Mei’s guitar ... read more
