Some of the best tunes of Gaga's career. "Bad Romance" is hands down one of the best hit singles of the late 00's and even 10's, "Alejandro" and "Dance In The Dark" both have those killer choruses Gaga was known for and I love the nostalgia "Monster" gives me.

The best thing about this is the atmosphere of anxiety in every single track without any moment of relief. It simply builds up and crashes down without actually releasing the tension. It only works because it's too weird.

Their previous record, Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons, has better peaks imo, but Misery Is a Butterfly feels much more consistent overall.
