i want to write more words about this album but nothing i say can do it justice. however, the 1987 essay "what coltrane wanted" by edward strickland does a fantastic job talking about this album in the greater scheme of contrane's work.
funny enough, the only reason i found the article was because of a blog post about 56 nights & barter 6. shout out to noz.
