Rudebwoy does what a rap album rarely does; goes back to the genre's roots. This album has some very evident influence from the New York rap of the '90s and the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, which isn't a bad thing per se. But it can feel very repetitive, as some songs have the same jazzy-type beats. CJ Fly definitely knows how to rap, and delivers a couple excellent bars and verses. The features do a great job, especially Joey Badass and that man who sounds like Andre 3000 on the last song(?). Great rap record
